max load/ manual discrepencies

sierra starts out higher than others max load. 6ppc, 70gr. MK, H335 28.5grs., Hodgdon load is max 27.5 grs. H335. Sierras max load is 29.4, I have already loaded some at 28.5, than bought new hodgdon manual and now a little confused with these differences in max loads. What to do? Thanks Jonn

This is one good reason for having multiple manuals to look at. I usually average between the books . In 1 instance the is a 10gr. difference in a load for a 270 Win. The starting load in 1 book is 3grs over MAX of the other book. I'll DBL check but I think the lower load was in the New Hornady book and the High load was in Sierras. I'm using Sierras load "not max" in this particular 270
