The weather was fantastic up until about 1230, that's when the cloud cover increased significantly. With out the direct sunlight, a 45*F day can be a touch cool! For mid-December, we had an great day.

A big Congratulations to the following shooters!

Light-Gun Score Winner Timothy Barber @Thumper
Light-Gun Group Winner Jerry Bush @jerryobush
Light-Gun Overall Winner Jerry Bush

Heavy-Gun Score Winner Jerry Bush
Heavy-Gun Group Winner David Gosnell @Zilla

Two-Gun Winner Jerry Bush

Jerry Bush is shooting a new Ackley Improved 6 BR (6BRA) with 106 gr. Roy Hunter bullets.

Jerry, I believe you have that rifle tuned!!!! You shot a 1.911" and a 1.965" group in your first match with that rifle under some challenging conditions.... WOW!

John Hakes won the "Closest to the X contest...... Great shooting John!

David Gosnell shot three incredibly small groups, 1.374, 1.432, and 1.713, and with a straight 284 Winchester to boot! Great shooting Dave!

Highest Score in LG was a 50-3X, shot by Timothy Barber.
Highest Score in HG was a 50-2X shot by George Tompkins

Thats some good 600 yard shooting there! Welcome to the fun! Awesome shooting for a new club and new shooters to 600 yards! I noticed a straight 284 Win with factory 184g Berger's came in 1st overall with a very good agg and score! Very impressive! I wonder if the wind can mean mean there with no trees?LOL. Beautiful place there! I love CO., I have not been there since 1992. Samuel Hall

Sam, we have some great low wind days here in the western valley. We had a serious weather front approaching, they were forecasting over 20" of snow in the high country (above 9000') on Saturday night. That is why some of our regular shooters did not show. Some had an itchy throttle thumb and needed scratch that itch (snowmobiling). Others physically couldn't get here (more worried about getting out of the valley after the match) due to yucky road conditions.
David is a master at 600 and a 1000 with that 284. There is some serious magic going on, he knows how to shoot in the conditions!
We grow some amazing peaches in the western valleys, and the elk hunting is fun, come on out and join us.

Appreciate all the work and skill it takes to put together such a comprehensive report.

Wish we had even a hint of all the space you have at that range. Sue makes it nice to relax and not be concerned with under or overshooting the backstop.
