Here's the story. I had a 6mm PPC custom built for me to compete at my local range high power prone matches during the off season. Come time for this seasons matches I find out that they have been discontinued. Now I need to pull off a nice new Nightforce scope and put on iron sights to compete at other ranges. I will need to figure out how to mount a rear sight on a BAT action and a front sight that will go around and clamp to the barrel.
Let's keep the difficulties rolling with being in my fifties now and eyes not working like they did the last time I peered through iron sights. Another rifle I purchased at the same time was a Les Baer NRA Match AR-15 which has a magnified rear sight and a front globe, I can see okay but things are not clear enough to shoot as well as I want or need. I can adjust the rear sight to see the front globe very clearly with lots of light but the black bullseye virtually dissappears. I can adjust the sight and see the target okay and the front globe is too blury. I have had to adjust to somewhere in between which appears too dark and neither one is as clear as I need and my scores suffer.
What suggestion can you give me for a match sight with what diopters and lenses or whatever else that would clear up my vision problems and get me on the correct path.
