Guys that shoot ARA style know that scooting your bipod over to the next target presents a challenge-( we have to do that a LOT during a 5 card match )-what to put under those bipod feet that has enough friction but not too much?--Many go with carpet, a towel, and I bet there are dozens of materials being used but we discovered something that Really works well--Silicone pot holders--they have no "give"--they don't put any preload on the feet like the thin yoga mat which has been good but is just too "grabby"
For $7 off Amazon you should try it--if it does not make you happy the cook gets them and all is well
We shoot Mystic bipods with ski type feet--my pals have tried this with the Sinclair type as well--We can move the bipod from target to target easy no grab but these have enough friction to keep it all steady as can be. I know everyone has a favorite material but I urge you to try these --They have helped us a Lot
Now we only have units with ski type feet and that is what I am promoting them for but I Bet if you try these you will like the feel and results For some crazy reason the square ones seem to work better for us so toss the little round ones
We have been working to get all of the motion out of the system--these do not compress
I also tested today with my 6BR and 223 PD rifle with the same bipod and it was Fantastic!
