Marlin 336, From Round to Octagonal and more!

I converted my second Marlin from round to Octagon and from pistol grip to straight.

You can read all about it here:

Hope you like how it turned out!

Noticed many looked but none had a courtesy of a reply or comment.

Well I tell you that rifle shows industry and talent. You did a great job. The story tells why but why is not really the issue. You did it because you wanted to.

You are good.

Last winter I went to a gunshop near me last base and found a rifle that I just had to have. I traded a rifle that I already had and rather enjoyed shooting for this newer one and 200 dollars. A week later I started getting panicky and rushed back to the gunshop to see if they still had my gun. The gunsmith in charge of the shop was a shrewd man and thought I might do something like that so he never even put the gun out on the shelf. I purhcased the gun back and now have both. I hope to god and country that I never have to sell or get rid of my firearms. I imagine it is like getting rid of a family member although I have not had to do that yet either.

That new rifle that I bought is now being built into my first 6mm.

Thanks for the kind words Captain!

I finally received the proper straight lever and installed it................ I love it!

I really like it. I have an old 444 Marlin that would be the cats meow with and octagon and straight lever. Great work.
