Marlin 1894 jam

I have a Marlin 1894 CL in 25-20 that had the dreaded Marlin jam. Most of the reading I've done online points the problem to the carrier assembly. Looking online, og course I can not find an new one for the 25-20, 32-20 etc etc. My question is. Is it possible for a good gunsmith to be able to fix the carrier so I don't have this jam anymore and can actually enjoy this rifle again?

I had that problem with the 25-20.
Have you tried a different bullet first..like a flat nose vs round nose..
Also if i remember correctly i started using the hornady bullets for 25-20 i believe they were copper jacket hollow points..or maybe flat point..
I do remember that problem went away by changing to a longer bullet or different profile..
Try that out first..before chopping on the gun.
