Mark II TRR-SR Any Thoughts?

Looking for an F/TR Training Rifle in .22LR. I think This rifle with a scope and bi pod would fit the bill at a good price range. Anyone have any opinions? How do they Shoot?

Any other models I should be looking at?
I plan on using this gun out to 300 and am hoping to hold atleast a 3 MOA group or better in low wind.

I just bought two FVSR from Buds. I also picked up a tacticool stock from Boyds. I posted earlier about them but I've been waiting to get the tacticool stock all mounted up before I post any pictures.

These two rifles have a short 16" barrel and I just sighted the second one in today. At about 60 yards they both put 35 rounds into a 5/8" hole. Each have about 100 rounds through them.

The TR stock is WAAAY nicier than the plastic stock. The only problem with the Boyds stock is there is just about no wood left in the bottom of the stock. I can't for the life of me figure out why they take the soft birch laminate down to about 1/8". And why wouldn't you pick up the pillar behind the mag well. Instead they stick a little wood screw in the stock. The only pillar you can tighten is the one at the front trigger guard. The stockys mag surround is JUNK. I gotta follow up my original post.

Take care,
Jeff

I got the bv model and put it in the Boyds stock. At the time the gun store did not have the less pricey models, but I believe the bv has a glossier finish. Also, there are no flutes on the barrel, and no tactical bolt knob.

I needed to replace the trigger guard and the action screws were slightly long. After those small mods, I lighted the trigger a bit.
I think for the price this is a very accurate rifle.

This group is with less than 50 rounds down the tube. 50yards.

At 100 I feel this rifle is capable of 1 MOA. This is very challenging for a .22lr.
Props to you if you can hold 3 MOA at 300 yards!

Here is one of my targets shot at 100.

I feel the Savage rimfires are a terrific value!
