March Scope Question/Review

For a general purpose scope, in my opinion, 2.5-25 is too little, and 8-80 too much magnification.
I’d get the 5-50×56, it is also available with the MML reticle, and has a very nice usable magnification range.
80x mag. translates into an exit pupil of only 0.7mm, which will make the scope very dark on high magnifications.
I don’t think any mag. above 50x will be used very often, maybe only when weather conditions allow (not very often), or for ranging purposes while shooting FT.

The EyePieceZoom ( EPZ ) does change eye relief through power changes. I use the 36-55 for a few years now and can easily deal with it. I have it on a 10.5lb 6ppc and have had it on a 6.5-06imp. Worked as advertised...... Rock solid adjustments.
The 8-80 is a stand-alone scope in the industry. I have one on a LR LV BR gun and think it is amazing. If anyone who has spent time behind one for more than a casual look & judgment and think's it is some kind of an overreaching design flaw.....I feel bad for you......My eyes love the thing. Was using it last weekend on 80X at 300 just for kicks...,.It gave me a chuckle.
