March scope past 5 year warranty

I'm looking into possibly taking the dive on a march scope (40x) and like many people am concerned with the shipping to Japan for repair and the warranty but I'm kinda sold on them. Has anyone here had an issue past 5 years? If so how did it work out?

Also any typical customer service info would be appreciated.

Mine is still under warranty, but I had them do some non-service related work on one of my scopes (changing out a reticle). I had no issues with the process and the turnaround time was very fast. I wrote up a post on the process in the Scopes section a little while ago.

I'm not worried at all when my 5 years are up.

After looking through just about every scope made over the years peeking through a fellows new March 40X was truly amazing......

The 5 year warranty is nothing to worry about. I use my 10-60 hard (weekly) without any issues. The scopes are the best I have used and I come from much experience with Nightforce. Give Ian Kelbly a call to help with any concerns you may have.

I agree 100% Ian will help with any issues, and the lack of a long term or lifetime warranty does not bother me in the slightest. I use my 8-80 March on 2 different rifles and I use it hard as well. Return to POI is always there.
