March 2.5-25 X 52 SFP

I do not own this specific riflescope. However, for the last couple of years, I have been haunting the March booth at SHOT Show and there I get to play with the various scopes on display and actually talk to people who own them or are considering them for their own purposes.
The 2.5-25 March comes in two main flavors: 42mm objective and 52mm objective. So many people have stopped by looking at it or already owning one indicating to me that it was a great scope with a following, so I had to see that it was all about. At SHOT, there are about two dozen March scopes of various models on display and they are all mounted on rifle stocks. A convention center is not the greatest place to test optics, but in this case, I could look through 25 or riflescopes in the exact same conditions and get a feel for them.
The 2.5-25X42 or 52 is an amazing riflescope with a 10X zoom range from a short 2.5X to quite powerful 25X magnification. In the murky environment of SHOT, the 52mm objective definitely had an edge on the 42mm at the higher magnifications. It was readily brighter past 12-15X and that's because it has a 53% larger objective lens and that makes a big difference at the higher magnifications.
As a small and light (24 ounces) SFP riflescope, this one is simply amazing with its 120MOA of elevation and massive zoom range. The glass is great (ED glass) and the controls are smooth. This is the scope that caught my fancy for a non-competition rifle.
