We were treated to great conditions early in the day. Better mark down your no wind zeros for the first match. That was as good a condition as I have seen at the range in a while. Had 8 shooters and I hope all had a good time.
We shot 4 targets on Saturday, with 3, 10 shot groups for record. The first target was for practice to confirm true 1000 yard zeros after sighting in on clay birds and gongs. It looks like the range of elevation changes between the clays and gongs to the actual 1000 yard target berm is between .75 and 1 moa lower than the clays and gongs. I hope everyone has taken notes. In the future we may not have the luxury of having a practice target. Also, it looks like the best groups come from the first groups of the day. A shame to waste it on a practice target.

Outstanding shooting by Chris Feeney. He is shooting a 7mm magnum weighing in at #17, officially a light gun. In comparison, I am shooting a #22 heavy gun in a small caliber 6mm Dasher. His bench technique is in top form to be able to hold that light magnum rifle on target. Great shooting Chris.
Next month is the 600 yard Benchrest match (IBS rules) hope to see you there.
