Mammerli straight pull

A new one. Anyone have any experience with this one? Went to my Scheels store, listed as a “dealer” by Hamerli, and they had no info. They said they would order one…if paid for it in advance.

Handled one a while back. Compared to an Izhmash 7-2 the Hammerli action is similiar to the effort and clunkiness of opening up the rear doors of a semi trailer. Watched an early video of a shooter using one on YouTube, every time he worked the action the gun was moving all over the bench. Shame Hammerli put their name on this thing.

Save your money and find an Izhmash. And BTW, with multiple skilled shooters using it none were impressed. It's been sent down the road.

Hmmm.
It could easier be a 10-22 knockoff than a fine European straight-pull rimfire.
10-22 trigger group
10-22 magazines
For the low MSRP (I would think one could be had for $599 anyway) it could be interesting enough for the budget minded plunder but I'll hang on to my Anschutz 1727 straight pull.

Hammerli and Walther are both owned by Umarex USA. Which is not known for selling quality firearms. I bought a Hammerli TAC-1 and it has the worst trigger I have ever used. A real shame because the trigger on my Hammerli 208 is a work of art.
