magnum large rifle primer in the 6.5 Creedmoor

Wonder if anyone is using the magnum large rifle primers in the 6.5 creedmoor? I have the large rifle primer brass but am considering using the magnum large rifle primers (which I have a good supply of).... what powders/bullets combinations?

I don't think mags are needed. Your looking at max mid 40s for powder charge, a normal LRP is enough to spark that regardless of powder type.

But If you must just do your normal workup from near min in a reloading manual, mag primers don't typically add much extra max pressure.

Your barrel length, twist rate, and intended use will determine which bullets and powder to use. If you can give me that info I can give you recommendations.

It's a Savage Axis Precision 22" barrel with a 1:8 twist.

(I am trying to save my Fed210 gold medal match for my F class rifles).

This is the Formula I used in a Spreadsheet
Charge WT
Powder Type
LR Magnum
7.00%
36.5
0.07
=PRODUCT(A3;B2)
=SUM(A2-C2)

No hunting, no formal competition at this time. Just casual shooting at the public 100 yard range with friends. I used to shoot F class, and perhaps someday may again...
I'd say standard 139-147 grain bullet with h4350, re16, 4451, vv555, or staball if you want to throw charges. Start with more neck tension than you think you need. (id suggest 3-5 thou)

120-130 grain bullet with varget, re15.5, imr 4064, imr 4166 or any of the powders above. The ones listed here will likely give better velocity SD/ES numbers than the ones above with bullets in this weight range due to 22" barrel vs 24-26" standard. But the ones above will give you very high velocity with these bullet weights.
