Magneto speed sporter help!!

I have been using the sporter for about 2 years now. And all of a sudden it seems like my speeds aren’t correct. I started working up a load for a 270 wsm 130gr bullet with rl-26 and at max charge I am showing 1000 FPS slow. Same powder with a 7 mag and 145 lrx. I am 500 FPS under what max is listed. Just wonder if any one has had One go bad or has any advice. Thanks

I had the same experience, readings that I knew were lower than they should be, a lot lower. Loads that previously read about 3000 fps reading like 1800. To make a long story short I found that the red wire for the battery was broken at the battery connector, where it connects to the battery terminal clip. There was one single wire strand intact, all the others were broken.

I cut both wires and spliced on a new battery connector. It seems to have been working fine ever since.

Ive had issues like that with my sporter as well...2 1/2 years old...looking for a Lab Radar now.

Thanks for the info. I am sure magneto speed probably won’t warranty it sense it’s 2 years old. But I am gonna see what they say
