Mag for .22-250 to 6mmNbr ?

Heya,

i have a recently acquired Savage Mdl 11 .22-250.
it has an Accu-trigger and a laminated thumbhole stock with a blind magazine.

i'm considering getting a Shilen barrel in 6mm Norma BR

i really like the stock, what mods will i have to make to get the mag to work with the 6br ?

A friend's Savage 12 is chambered for 20BR. I'd never have guessed that rounds would feed from the magazine, but they do. I don't think it's been altered in any way.

the Tikka 22/250 595 magazines feed 6BR and 30 BR rounds great
Dont know if the T3 ones do as well- never tried
most single stack mags seem to feed the BR based rounds ok to good

I have a Savage 12 VLP 22-250 that I rebarrelled to 6BR with a prechambered Shilen from Midway USA. It really shoots well and is one the easiest rifles to work up a load for I've ever owned. I just tried the blind magazine. It worked fine AS IS from the factory with 6BR cartidges. I think you will be fine as well. By the way, that was the first time I have ever tried the magazine in that rifle as I shoot it single shot off a bench or single shot prone F Class.
