I've been using a Henry Rempel adjustable Bipod on the front of my ELR 22 rimfire Anschutz Exemplar Pistol with great success. I attended a match in Canton which doesn't allow that style bipod but they allowed me to use it but not for any adjustment for that match which was OK, I just used a rear bag and manipulated it.
They do allow an adjustable rear mono-pod or sandbags along with a conventional style from bipod such as a Harris, Atlas or Accu-tac. A good buddy had shown me a new adjustable mono-pod/bagrider he was testing for MSP (Mounting Solutions Plus) which is very nice. I got one for my Son for his 1000 yard gun for Christmas but I'm thrifty and thought I could come up with something similar.
I had purchased a couple adjustable cheek rest riser assemblies from a fella on Target Talk a couple years ago and had them lying around. I thought on it awhile, did some pondering and started carving on some aluminum scraps. I managed to get down to the last step which was milling a small slot on the riser section to allow the set screw to tighten into to hold everything tight.
I didn't have it very tight in the vise, it was tilted at an angle and wasn't gripped by too much. When the end barely mill touched it took off flying across the shop, it buggered up that area a bit and left some marks but the second attempt got it cut but just isn't pretty but functions fine. I'm no machinist, lack of knowledge on holding pieces in fixtures to machine usually causes me a few headaches.
The whole unit wouldn't fit in the guns case assembled and that is why I grooved both pieces so it could come apart easily without tools. The weather finally cleared up enough to get down over the hill to try the mono-pod out. I found a nice thin sandbag used for hammering jewelry and it works perfect. Bounce the grip into it a couple of times it settles slightly in and it just sits there.
Ran 10 good solid hits in a row on my 1/4" target at 50 yards and 10 shots in a row on the clay pigeon sized target at 195 yards using SK Biathlon. It was so smooth to tweak up and down gently turning the adjustment turret. I think it's even better and smoother than the Rempel front bipod which is probably the best thing I've found so far. Now I'll have to get it smoothed up and decide whether to have it painted/coated or leave it raw aluminum. Pretty really isn't my thing but I might try to make this one look nice since it shoots so good.
I had been using an oval sandbag and using the adjustment in the Rempel rest to tweak adjustment. I'm liking this monopod a LOT better. This combined with a Wide base Accutac should be interesting this summer.
