Anyone have any experience with these actions?
From the picture the bolt appears to have a brass section exposed. Is this just a cut away?
Also looks like firing pin protrudes out end of bolt.

It’s just heat treated stainless that‘s taken on a golden / straw color as a result.The "brass" is almost certainly TiN-coated steel. It's surely not brass.

The firing pin extension is a cocking indicator, and is a good thing indeed, given the more-or-less solid shroud. The smaller exposure at the rear of the bolt, a la Anschutz, provides more protection for the rear of the bolt assembly, re: dust, water, etc., but more importantly, provides a lot less space for brass fragments in the case of a blown shell.

Anybody CAN make a solid shroud. They CHOSE not to, to PROVIDE a very positive visual and tactile indicator of the condition of the action.
