The one book that contains the combined knowledge of the world in the area of industrial machining and related materials science from the beginning of the industrial revolution to present and built on the foundations laid down 2400 to 2500 years earlier (the math of the early Greeks). This book should be in everyone's shop even makes a great coffee table book for those who understand enough of it to answer questions from inquiring minds (I have it in my shop but not on my coffee table because I don't understand enough of it).

Familiarity with this book should be a prerequisite for a high school degree. I say familiarity because no one individual could assimilate it all. It would teach physics, math, materials science and techniques employed in the production of most of what we take for granted in the modern age. Electronics aside.

The metal shaping book is 10.5x11” (full size book)
