M. Gallagher Rifles, Scopes, Sights Stolen

Michelle Gallagher returned home from her trip to Ireland to find that her house had been broken into. Rifle and scopes were stolen and I would ask all of you to keep an eye out at the upcoming matches and see if you spot these. Below is Michelle's description of what was taken and further below I have attached pictures of the two center-fire rifles.

"The purple one is a Remington action chambered in .284 with a Nightforce NXS scope on it.
The wood one is a Stolle Panda action chambered in .308 Win with a Nightforce competition scope.

There's also a 22 rimfire Anschutz. It has Warner rear sights and stickers on the stock. I might be able to find serial numbers for the other two if you think that would help, but won't have one for the 22.

That is horrible!!! It almost appears as if the prospective burglar KNEW she was going to be gone for awhile. it is probable that it was a random burglary>>>but this is terribly suspicious..

You can't fix STUPID Why would someone steal a hi dollar competition gun? Mine was stolen while I was down changing targets at at 1000 yard. The stupid thief tried to sale it at a gun range because no pawn shop would buy it. He got 30 days and I got the gun back. Thanks to the shooter at another range.
What happened after the gun was recovered is a bigger joke. The DA ask if I still wanted to press charges because I got the gun back. Need less to say what my answer was to that. They gave him30days and turned him out .A couple months later he got caught again in another state. They gave him 5 years.
Larry Costa had some guns stolen and Stupid tried to sell them to him at a gun range.
The scope and the stock is all he would dare to sell. Same will happen here if she has the serial numbers.

Cameras and WiFi can help with the recovery and prosecution, maybe not the security.. Unless they catch the culprit, That maybe the only thing to ease her mind..

It would make my month to hear it was a neighbor or a friends child that did it and she got everything back. My bet is it is someone she knows like a neighbor or their kids. The crooks had to know she would be out of town for a long stay which gave them plenty of time to do it.

That makes perfect sense. Or an "acquaintance" or friend of an "acquaintance" from her local range. Hopefully the relatively small pool of potential buyers will be the thief's downfall. I would love to hear that it has been resolved.
