M-118 ball load data-308/30-06ai needed

I came across a bunch of M-118 ball(173gr fmjbt) bullets I had bought years ago.
Looking for some load data for 308/7.62 that has worked for you. Have Varget, Re15, 4831 and AA4350 plus a few others.

Planning on building a 30-06 AI and planning on trying the same bullets in that rifle too, so if anyone has load data for this cartridge, it would be appreciated.

Thanks

You might try 4064. It is excellent for heavier bullets in .308.

What he said ^, we need more information also to give you an informative answer, i.e. barrel length, case capacity, case length etc.

The answer to your question is, 41 grains of IMR 4895 with LC Brass amd a stamdard Remmington, Winchester or CCiI primer will replicate the M118 load. I have shot out a wheel barrow full of barrels with this load.

For the 308/7.62 the answer is 41 grains of IMR 4895 with LC cases and any standard primer, Winchester, Remington, CCT, etc. I have shot out a wheel barrel full of barrels with this load in the M14/M14 with Master scores and Distinguished scores.

These loads just make the hole in the target bigger at 200 yards
( these are for Sierras, they are very forgiving about the jump to the lands,
I am not sure about the 173s )
But these loads will give you a place to start

308-
175 Sierra MK ( 173 should be the same )
42.2gr IMR 4064
Lapua case
CCI# BR4 primer
magazine length or 10 to 15 off lands

( US military load is same except 42.175gr IMR 4064 )

3006- ( your AI should be close )
175 Sierra MK ( 173 should be the same )
47.0gr IMR 4064
Lapua case
CCI# BR4 primer
magazine length or 10 to 15 off lands
