Lyman trimmer troubles

Has anyone figured out a way to adapt an RCBS 3 way cutter to the Lyman trimmer shaft? It appears the rcbs has a smaller, finer thread pitch than the Lyman. I've searched the web with no real conclusion other than, it won't fit. I thought maybe a male/ female adapter might be possible. I'm really not in the mood to spend an additional 120$+ for another trimmer to use the 3 way cutter head.

Please don't respond with the options of me buyin a Giraud or other expensive models. That's not an option unless someone wants to donate one .

If you know someone has a lathe have them press a plug in the shaft and re-tap for thread size needed.
