Lyman Brass Smith Powder Measure

Recently purchased one but am uncertain if there is a "Cheat Sheet" to geta jump start on measure volumes. Anybody have one they have developed with different powders? I will be using it with R22, R15, Varget and 4831sc primarily.

ANy help will be greatly apprecaited. Such as, 1notch =15grains, 2nd notch = 20 grains, etc.

I like mine but can’t help you much. I just use it for pistol powder and keep the stem all the way in and the threads on the cylinder are just twisted out a short ways for 3.5 grains.

Never used one, but Lee supplies (or used to) a powder density chart with their now-discontinued Classic Measure. You look up the powder, find the density of the powder, and multiply by the desired charge weight to get the setting. It was (to me, as I wasn't expecting much) surprisingly accurate.

If you can find the chart, you can reverse engineer the process by comparing a couple of different charge weights of the same powder, taken from your measure.
