Lyman Borecam® Digital Borescope - Focal Length

I've seen some images taken with this device which are much clearer than any image I'm able to get on the screen of my Borecam. Wondering if anyone else has trouble with getting a clear image on their screen. The focal length on my Borecam is so short that I almost have to have the end of the probe in direct contact with the surface I'm examining to get an image I can use.

Using a bore guide w/a close fit to the wand will help.
The light on mine is almost too bright and causes unnecessary
glare. The switch to lower the light intensity seems to have no
effect. My view is good but doesn't compare to some of the
pictures I have seen posted. LDS

Exactly the same thing.

For now it's good enough to get the job done but sure as hell would love to have pics as nice as others....

plenty good enough. obviously those are different barrels. what do the throats look like?

i found using a bore guide and twisting and moving the rod back and forth and up and down will give me very clear pics
