Lyman 20X scope knobs...

I kind of like the older scopes target scopes(Weaver, Lyman, B&L, etc). I recently glommed a 20X Lyman All American with some interesting turret knobs. The caps screw on and engage the slots in the turrets in such a way that you do not have to remove the caps in order to adjust the reticle.

Anyone ever seen this setup before?

I have a Redfield 12X which I purchased in the mid 1960's which came with scope caps and a set of target type knobs. I also have a couple of sets of similar target knobs which I believe to be after market. The small target knobs are for the Redfield. Seems like a good idea to have both types for scopes used to hunt with as well as target.
