LT-32

Tried some LT-32 today in my 223. I was impressed. It was the second best load I tested @ .4" @ 100. I think I can get it to shrink a bit more. I also think I may have threw one shot opening the group from under .2" to .4". Definitely worth another look. Not much loading data available out there though.

Is there any data on the accurate site? Seeing as its supposed to be like the original T322,I would think you could carefully work up just like any other canister powder.Always falling back on the side of caution.Perhaps one of the older fella's will chime in on how to load with it.I use H322 foe .223 all the time ,with good results.

There is data on their site but it is limited to just 6mm ppc and 223. I'd like to try it in some other cartridges too. H322 and LT32 shot very close so now its time for a shoot off between them. I'm really impressed with it so far.

I bought some to try in my 6ppc and ended up loading some in my .223 Varmint bolt gun first. Shot the best groups ever (5 shots @ .104"). I ordered more as so good in .223, won't matter if it won't shoot in the PPC - which it was designed to do.

Accurate does have load data on line for .223, 6PPC and 6BR. I e-mailed Accurate and asked them if they had any data for heavier bullets in the 6BR (like 105's) as their data only went up to like 85 grains or something close to that. They kindly responded that additional testing is scheduled for later this year for heavier bullets in 6ppc and the 6br - but they thought there was good promise. I also asked them for .308 Winchester load data - which they provided. Turns out they have it listed in the Western Powder section - and not the Accurate section - and the .308 data is not listed on their LT-32-only page. They would sell far more powder if they got their data where people can more readily access it. They were prompt in getting back to me and gave me what I needed. I intend to really test this stuff. It is fast burning and I noticed a SUBSTANTIAL temperature reduction of my A/R brass as opposed to the brass coming out after firing IMR 8208 XBR. I think it will be too quick burning for many heavier bullets (somewhere around that of Reloader 7) but I plan on going through the hoops anyway as I have been surprised before. So far - I think this stuff is really, really good. A bit pricy compared to Varget, etc., yet no more than Vhita Vhourri? Best price at Powder Valley (about $180.00/8lbs) who seems to almost always have some in stock.

I think you'll find that it will shoot in a 6PPC...

I shot my second match of the year running the LT-32 and Berger Column bullets. The load was developed in 72° temp with 60% humidity, 29.3gr shot very well. That load is probably real close to max. Today's match was 85° and 80% humidity, 29.1gr worked for me. So far I'm impressed with the combination.

It'll shoot very well in a 30 Major was well.

It gives the PPC bolt-face owner a lot of power. 220 Beggs or 22-100, 6 Beggs or 6 PPC, 30 Major. One rifle, three barrels, all short-range benchrest formats.

I bought some LT32 for the 6ppc, but have not yet tried it. I have a factory class Savage LRPV in .223 which has been eating 25.5 grs. Varget under the Berger moly 80 gr. VLD and BR4's for years.

Just for the ell of it, this morning I went to the range with several rifles. I had loaded five 223 shells with 24.0 gr. of LT32 and the 80 gr. vld.- just kissing the lands. At 200 yds., that load produced a .420 group with 5 shots. Ain't bad for pure factory gun and a load I did not research. Gotta do a ladder test now.
