Looking to flute and coat a hunting rifle

I have a hunting rifle built on a Surgeon LA that I would like to get some coating on for corrosion resistance. I also am considering having the barrel fluted for some weight savings and to add a little distinctive look to the rifle. The rifle has about 50 rounds through it, and simply shoots outstanding. Cerakote or melonite? I am on the fence about melonite as I have heard some stories about barrel issues. Cost isn't a concern, within reason.
Thanks,
Scott

I will second what GSXR says, and I apply both coatings. Titanium Nitride, melonite, etc. are all excellent for wear resistance and can help protect against corrosion, but they still have small pores. Cerakote is not quite as durable against wear between moving parts, but creates a solid layer that will keep corrosion at bay.
