Looking for steel matches, NorCal

Looking for some fun steel matches around central and northern California. I enjoy these for fun and my dad and uncle really like them as well. I shoot at Folsom and Palomino Valley (Reno) currently, but am looking for other matches to try out and round out the shooting schedule when the other ranges aren't holding matches.

I'm based in Stockton, CA so pretty much anything within a few hours drive in any direction, will consider farther for exceptionally fun matches like Palomino Valley long range varmint silhouette match.

So if your local club holds some kind of steel match for centerfire let's hear about it.

I've looked into URSA, but the only gun I have close to capable of that is a 26" barrel .30-'06. I have some 210SMK I could load and 25moa base, but just a cheap 4-12 hunting scope with duplex reticle, so it would take considerable guessing to get it there.

I`m Just out West from you in the Bay Area....but haven`t had the opportunity to get to Reno for a shoot yet.

The last steel varmint shoot for the year is in a week on the 12th. A dasher is perfect, come on up with us!!

Tempting, but i`d have a stroke if i scratched that laminate after what i gave for it, besides the stock will ba at Alex Sitmans for some alterations..........

Palomino is a blast, I shot my 6.8 AR15 last time and took 2nd, moving up a bracket. Working on some new long range loads for it too, so I don't have as much windage as elevation at 650yds like my current bullets do, lol!

Hell, an off the shelf 243 with an inexpensive target scope, if driven by a good shooter can place really well up there! That shoot is just plain too much fun! I have to miss the last one, just too much going on that day to get over the hill.
