Looking for New Scope

I am looking for a new scope to put on a Cooper Model 21 in .204 Ruger. I would like to stay with a one inch scope as the rifle has 1" rings on it. I want the scope to compliment the accuracy of the rifle. This rifle will be used for both target shooting and prairie dog hunting. What would you recommend for the scope selection, magnification, moa click adjustments, and reticle selection? I need some help on this and really don"t want to change out my rings for 30MM for some of the newer fancier stuff. Suggestions please. Thank you.

Antelopehunter,

I would suggest something in the 4.5-14x or the 4-16x power. Some people like the mil dot reticle, but personally has more to do with their personal preference. There are a lot of very good scopes out there like the Bushnell Elite 4200, Nikon Monarch and Leupold VX-III. You did not state what your budget would be, but I would taking a look at our Clearidge Ultra XP 4.5-14x40. Great scope and is equivalent in quality to the big name brands. Right now we are offering a $30.00 discount to 6mmbr.com members. You will see the promotional coupon code in our sponsorship banner. If you have any questions, just let me know.
