looking for low end scope

Looking for a low end 3-9 or 4-12 40 mm low end scope. Are any of them better than the rest? Sig Sauer optics has some but they only have a 5 year warranty. Athalon and Vortex have a full warranty. Are there any I have over looked ? What are your experiences with these or any others?

Give this a look. I ordered two a few weeks ago.

I have a Burris Full Field, Vortex Crossfire II, and Sightron SI & Sightron Field Target.

I like the Vortex, only issue i've had is they flare out easily.

The Sightrons are hard to beat for the money!

The Burris glass is the best (in my opinion) of the ones mentioned.

My next hunting scope....

Crimson Trace Hardline.
For the money, they have good glass, good turrets, and the options i want.

I tend to look at MIdway USA / Optics Planet etc reviews ( x out of 5 stars) then read the worst reviews to see if they have substance / come from knowledgeable reviewers, or if they are just whiners, or compaining cuz they used the item inappropriately.

If the item gets 50 or more reviews, and 4.5 / 5 stars and the 1-3 / 5 star ratings have little substance, I'll feel confident in the purchase.

Its worked well for me for 20 years.

Primary Arms and Athlon are both definitley worth looking at. lots of affordable options that dont suck. Reticles are much better than anything else offered in that price range IMO.

I am late to the party, but I second the burris Fullfield 2 if that fits your budget. I have a few of them and they have been reliable for years for me, tracking is not good enough for someone that wants to dial holdovers, but after they settle in after a few shots they hold in my experience.

Before you totally make up your mind give the Mueller line a good look. I have 2 Variable target scopes, both are crystal clear and hold POA through out the box testing. Good warranty and very reasonable price wise.
