You need a gunsmith that does custom barrel work, not a machinist. A gunsmith that does custom barrel work will have an assortment of chambering reamers, head space gages, and understand the nuances associated with installing, chambering and head spacing rifle barrels. A 'machinist' probably doesn't have the tooling and gages, or the needed knowledge to properly do the job.
