Looking for loads for the 6PPC using thunderbird powder.

;D I still have about 16lbs of the old thunderbird powder leftover from the 90's that I've kept and never got a chance to use. I shoot a Sako 6mmPPC And right now I'm loading H322 25.5 gr. With 70gr sierra bthp. Good groups but would like to get a good and safe starter load for the t-bird powder.
Any suggestions?

Upon further review, go to Accurate Powders website under Load Data and use the charges listed for LT-32 .....begin with the starting load listed. I hesitate to relay my load data as I only have experience with T in custom actions using Lapua brass. The burn rates of LT-32 and T are very close.

Maybe I am mistaken, but I believe Thunderbird is very similar if not the same as IMR8208XBR ? I use 8208XBR in my Sako 6PPC with 68 gr match bullets and get very small groups. If so, I believe there is data available for the newer 8208 in 6PPC. I hesitate to recommend a load since I have not used the older T-Bird powder.

I would go sell the T bird and take the money and buy about 32lbs of the 322 you are shooting.

Just a thought.

I think this is a pretty good thought. Unless you are shooting in competition at a high level. I would sell it and buy twice as much of a powder you can continue to find. LT32 N133 H322
