Has anybody heard of a cartridge called 7x39mm? The reamer is listed on the Pacific Tool and Gauge website but there is literally zero info about it online. I'm looking for anybody that has information about it, ie: the history of it, how it came to be, why it came to be etc. I especially would love to know if anybody has used for any application and what your personal thoughts and opinions are about it.

The .30 Remington AR / 7x39mm Remington AR is an intermediate cartridge created in 2008 by Remington Arms.

Yeah here is the reamer print I have from PT&G. I think it fluctuates on their website. I know it was there a few months ago but it might have been taken off. I guess they call it 7x39mm Match, but even that doesn't get any search results. It's basically a 7.62x39 necked to 7mm with a 17 degree shoulder if I'm reading the print correctly.

you are right as it is based on a 7.62x39 that is necked down. The other thing is that drawing is dated for 2020. it is also not the 7x39 Giat that I posted as the shoulder angle is completely different.
This is probably a wildcat cartridge that died a quick death. This is what I am basing it on:
1. Since an internet search bring up nothing, It has never been tested or reviewed.
2. Since PTG no longer lists it. It never caught on.
3. I searched a couple of the custom die makers, and nothing. So no chamber drawing was submitted to them.
you are probably not going to find anybody with any real information on it.

The reason I asked here was because I did actually email PT&G about it. While they didn't really seem to know much either, the guy did mention Lou Merdica's name as being one of the people that have ordered the reamer. Jeff Majors being another. So I was hoping somebody here might know something.
