i'm looking for a ruger compact laminate in 300rcm can't find one anywhere does anyone have an idea of how i can get my hands on one?

To me it looks like they don't make the Compact in laminate:

I checked the Specials, but that also looked like no 300RCM in Laminate.

Give them a call maybe you can order one....

they have cut out a few models.....
220 swift being one of them...... >:(

thanks for the info i called ruger again to see if they would make one for me they don't take custom orders but the guy was able to track one down for me i got really lucky on this one he said it was the only new one left anywhere in the world! not sure how they keep track of all that stuff but sure glad they did

yeah think so now for the next challenge what optics to go with? i've been looking at leupolds vx3L and nikon monarch i'm just worried about messing up the balance and feel of the gun with a big scope on a tiny lil gun but i want something that won't let me down in low light

Check out the Leupold VX-II 6-18x40, Fine Duplex, Matte or the VX-II 6-18x40, LRV Duplex, Matte they are lighter and smaller than the "big glass." I use one and it is currently on a Savage 93-17 .17 HMR rifle. I avoid all Nikon products, I have several Monarchs and the picture quality is just not up to par compared to the Bushnell Elite 4200, the Leupolds, Burris or even the Clearidge XP. The Clearidge is a good scope made in the same factory as the Bushnell Elite using the same glass. They are no-frills like the new Redfield and a good value. Check out all the scopes at www.theopticzone.com for good prices.
