Looking for a larger Shoot to get our feet wet

Hello all,

I've been a member here for several years and read on this forum almost every day. Man has it cost me some money! - Lol. I'm fairly new to F-class, just my 3rd year. I live in West Central Ga and have been shooting some local matches within a few hours drive. My question is - what match would y'all recommend a less experienced fellow F-class shooter go to if he wanted to shoot a larger match and meet some new shooters and see some different equipment? It would be myself and a couple of guys I shoot with and we would not mind driving a day to get there and shoot a day or two then head home. Please let me know if you have any recommendations. Feel free to PM me if you like.

If you want to shoot benchrest there will be some matches starting in February at cool acres in swainsboro ga.

I appreciate the info, but I'm just looking for F-class at this time. Not sure I have the time for another hobby!

Camp Blanding near Jacksonville FL. Also River Bend Gun club up near Dawsonville GA run good matches. Both are 600 yards. Cool Acres in Swainsboro should be starting a Fclass league this year. Great place to shoot too

The two day matches at Tullahoma AEDC are the registered matches and usually much better attended and everyone brings out their best gear. Some matches closer to you are Central Alabama Gun Club, River Bend Gun Club, Chattanooga Gun Club, and Talladega CMP. I expect the F-Class attendance at these is usually below what you are looking for, and the only two day deal is the October event at River Bend.

Keep an eye on Palo Alto's schedule in Louisiana. Their spring regional and fall state championship are awesome and attract a lot of the best shooters in the SE with all the best toys.
 
Check on events at the Talladega Marksmanship Park. I haven’t shot there yet but it looks like a fantastic venue.
