I built one for myself a couple years ago doing that exact thing...only had to order 30 cal bushings with #2 pilots that would fit the smaller pilot on the 6.5 reamer I used. Now I have a standard 284 reamer and the 30 cal pilots would work with that . Oh, and the SOB shoots phenominally well. Don't think I'd bother buying a 30-284 reamer as there is absolutely nothing wrong with using a combination to get the final chamber. Did the same thing for my 25-284 by useing a 6mm-284 reamer and of all things a 25-06 reamer for the neck throat portion as there is plenty of neck length on that reamer with a smaller shoulder that won't touch the 284 chamber....that one shoot even better!
