looking for 1k yrd load developer

Hi,
My name is Sam and I have an special request that i thought maybe you can help me with. I am looking for an expert, to develop a load/recipe for my custom target rifle.

Due to various personal reasons, primarily no time, due to many corporete business travels, I would like someone to develop a load for my 308win rifle out to 1000 yards, using the industry std ladder test.

If interested, please let me know on cost and timeframe and hopefully we can do business together. If not, can you recommend someone, equally competant.

Mauser 98 action- trued etc...
Bartlein 24" M24 profile
Timney 2.5# trigger
McMillan A5 stock bedded
Scope: Zeiss 6.5-20x50
Best group shot w Factory ammo FGM 168gr, about 3/4" at 300yrds = ~0.3MOA

It is actually 0.25 MOA!!!

I would strongly recommend that you stick with factory ammo. Consider the time saved. That's money in the bank right there. The slightly higher costs would be more than offset in savings on reloading equipment, gauges, scales, cleaning equipment, etc not to mention the savings on consulting fees incurred from not having to hire an expert.

C'mon, give the guy a break. Let him have his illusions of .3MOA at 1000 yards with a 98 and 24 inch barrel. And a 20X scope, probably with a Mildot reticle.

In defense of the OP, he never stated that he expected .3 MOA at 1000yds. But I would tend to agree that if his rifle is shooting .3 MOA at 300 yds with FGMM ammo, I would just stick with that and save the time and money.

168 sierras don't do so hot at 1000 yards especially out of a 24" barrel
