Looking at a Savage 12 FVSS any experience??

I am looking at a paper puncher and varmit rifle and leaning toward the savage 12 FVSS in 22-250. It seems inexpensive, quality, and good trigger. Any thoughts?

Straight outta the box accuracy you can't go wrong with a Savage. Depending on what you all wanna do with it besides paper punching and varmint hunting sounds like this gun will work just fine. If you decide to go custom with it look into Sharp Shooter Supply they deal with nothing but Savage rifles and parts. I delt with them a couple times when I had my fatory Savage before I started building off of Rem 700s. Hope this helped you out and good luck

You like the remington better? I just bought a Remington 700 SPS tactical in .308, after so many less than great reviews I decided to go towards the Savage. Always been a remington fan.

Also going to try the Millet scope on .308 based on your recommendation.

Not that I don't like Savage I've just had better luck with the Remmys as far as building and finding used parts for sale like bases triggers and stocks etc. But for just a straight factory gun a Savage is the way to go can't take away the accuracy you git right outta the box. I think you'll be pleased with the millet scope I know I was. I posted a picture of my millet scope that's on my 25wsm.
