I might have 1,000 rounds down my 6mm Creedmoor BBL. I'm loading 103 VT bullets now. Using the Hornady Seating depth tool. I carefully pushed the bullet until it stopped in the lands and the bullet stuck. Stood the rifle up and gently inserted a cleaning rod and nudged the bullet out. Then inserted the bullet into the Hornady tool. Dang it there wasn't enough neck to hold onto the bullet. So, I seated the bullet in a charged case about.090 depth. The round does chamber in the rifle; in the box magazine it looks like it has .001 clearance. In my 1st post shooters were saying I need to jam it in the rifling at least .006. Well, I can't. These bullets are a rare commodity, I wonder if I should shoot these bullets after I get a new bbl?
