Erik Cortina
Team Lapua Brux Borden Captain
This article makes sense and shows how we don't think about the small, yet obvious things. We load ammo everyday and make foolish mistakes because we don't know any better sometimes. This article is a great example of how important the little things can be.
I now know why when we had to ship ammo overseas for the US F-Class team they had us package ammo in small boxes and lay them flat inside of a bigger box.
Our ammo had to sit for about 3 months before we actually shot it. If the ammo was to end up pointing down, the powder would pack in the front of the case leaving an air gap between primer and powder. Laying them flat eliminates this concern. You learn something every day.
