Long stocks for longer barrels, flex?

been seeing really long stocked rifles, typically over 30" barrels.

A better balanced rifle is the aim, but the front of the stock is easy to flex.

Would a longer stock cause consistency/ accuracy issues?

I know in BR the longer stocks helped the gun track. It throws more weight to the rear. I made mine with carbon fiber between the laminates. I believe it makes accuracy better. Matt

If you hold the longer stock and barrel with your hand where he front rest would be, it does not take much to flex it, was not sure if it affects the dynamics much. A bit harder to feel that wood bend with a shorter stock.

The flex help compensation, a good thing for long range shooting. Short range stocks should be stiff, not long range stocks.
