So I ordered 2 scopes from LRS ($6600) and got their email about payment instructions. Zelle or wire transfer or MO. Not real comfortable with these options because have been burnt before, as well as friends. Are they legit? Just having problem sending out $6600 that can't be recovered? THanks

Don at Long range supply is good to go.
I bought my Majesta from him when they first came out.
A lot cheaper than they are now.
He's worried about getting burned.
When they were first introduced into the US, he was one of the companies
that placed orders and got them here first. I heard he had orders for 35+ (Majesta)
Once he places an order for multiple scopes, he's on the hook for
all that money.

How you gonna get your money back if one of them is broken?
Even if they are legit?
With a CC you can at least make a claim

I will add though, with small businesses that don't do the volume of a Walmart
it is difficult to get a Merchant Account worthwhile of running credit cards
I've went through 3 of them with my business, and the last one "Square"
Suddenly - suspiciously - canceled my account within 2 days of me posting gun related items on my website. Small things like Triggers, barrel threading etc. I was about to build it up and suddenly my Merchant account was cancelled upon listing those items
when I had been with them for years prior.
Some CC providers charge way too much for small businesses that do low volume
Think of it as a fine for not giving them the profit they expect associated with the word
"Business"
So I can see why using the other alternative Electronic methods

Zelle for anything would be a hard no for me. Someone using Zelle scammed our checking account at the beginning of this year. Took weeks to get our accounts unfrozen and get access to our money. I don't care who it is. Zelle anything can take a flying leap into the Grand Canyon.

USPS money order make you feel more confident. That is also a payment option with LRS.

I know several shooters who have purchased from them. I cant personally speak to their legitamacy. But when you are tryijg to save $500 on sales tax you are going to take some risk.

He is legit. I used a money transfer and received a discount for the trouble of doing it. Don't know if that applies to all purchases. I was skeptical at first also but was reassured by multiple people that it's not a scam.

It’s not the guy that’s selling that worries customers, it’s the fact that there is no recourse when shit goes wrong without a CC. Guys that recommend using these other methods probably aren’t going to chip in and help cover the loss when things go sour.
