I just competed in the very first (.223/.308 only) Long Range Rifle competition at Rayner’s Range in Ohio using my .223 McGowen barreled Long Range pistol. I was the only pistol shooter in this competition and out of the 70 scores turned in I was able to take home first place with a winning score of 480 followed closely by the second place highest scoring rifle at 470 points. In this competition you engage a set of targets with 3 shots at each of the following distances with no sighters, 235, 400, 300, 375, 500, 600, 585, 650, 630, 700, 900 and 1000 yds. Being able to compete with the rifle shooters on an even playing field is a testament of just how accurate these Long Range Pistols are.
This is the winning McGowen Barreled .223 pistol and the five shot 100yd group shows its accuracy.
