Anybody know whats up with Long-Range.com.....It's been out of service for a week..

Meltdown due to unexpected causes. Leo is working on bringing the forum back up. Please be patient while he works on it.

Hi Jerry, Asa,

I was on the site just before it went down. From what I saw it is not down for your average "maintenance"....

A number of people had achieved "guest" status and how that had occured may well have a lot to do with the site being down....

My best guess is that this was a:nono: "nono"... otherwise Leo and Asa are no longer members. So all in all either administrator security was breached and people's membership was wrongly removed or there is perhaps an arguement about site ownership......and who is ultimately entitled to do what with the web site....and who can make or take away membership rights..

However I just want to make it clear that my comments are an "un-official statement" - "disclaimed" - etc etc....,although I think it is only fair to let the members have something more "tangible" than "maintenance"...)

Just in case there are lawyers sorting out the "meltdown"...:angel:

Why dont you start an international f-class forum for us ? I know Les has a bulletin board on his site but the format leaves alot to be desired.

Well, funny you should say this, I have been speaking to someone in the U.S. who has the server capacity to do just as you say and has gone so far as to register a domain name ....

But it is a pretty big undertaking to get going so I will leave it to him to consider whether he feels he can fit it in....

Our forum on the FClassUK site as you know suffers from the slight hitch of not showing all of a post!!! You really have been quite diplomatic in describing this foible
I can't quite see this taking off as a result......

Hopefully this might get sorted....Les is trying to consult with the Computer Whizz's who shoot in our League...so we will see.

Personally I think our friend in the States would do this task best.

That's good news ASA. Glad to learn things got sorted out. Long-range.com is a great resource, particularly for Palma, Highpower, and F-Class shooting.
