A lot depends on what the meaning of "medium" is.,Shades of Bill Clinton:rolleyes:) If you mean foxes or coyotes or stuff like that then the 6BR would be perfect. On the other hand, if you mean deer sized animals I say go for something bigger like a 244 Remington or the 6.5x55 like rhino suggested. It's not fair to deer to shoot at them with a cartridge that is not sure to kill them cleanly. JMHO

I would look at the 260 remington it has bullets light enough for feral eradication and a great selection of match bullets then you also have a good selection of HEAVy game projectiles a 260 will fire a 160gr projectile the same speed a 6.5-55 will and it is the standard load for moose in scandanavian countries. make sure you use an 8 twist to stabalise ALL projectiles you might like to try. If you want to cut back to two loads
1: A heavily constructed 140 to 160gr Hunting bullet for dear.
2: Hornady A Max for target and predator work because of the plastic tip they are verry explosive so can be used as a dual purpose.

The 260 will feed and function flawlesly in a remington ADL action.
