Long Range BR build

Just finished this one up. This one is a Borden BRM drop port glued and screwed into my new stock. I guess its newish, its been out a few years now. Its longer and lower than the LRB. I think everyone thats had both would agree it tracks better. I ordered the drop port BRM without an extractor. I cut the bolt for a sako because they are the smoothest out there and the Bordens close so good I dont want to feel the extractor. I also fitted one of my custom shrouds to the bolt and did my typical ignition work. The Bartlien gain twists are chambered in 6 BRA #1. Topped off with a tuned Bix n Andy. This is a very typical build that just works. The stock and timed action makes for a very fast rifle.DSC_0402.JPGDSC_0403.JPGDSC_0405.JPGDSC_0414.JPGDSC_0400.JPGDSC_0401.JPG

Might have to send my gun for a new stock, really like that.

Awesome looking rig for sure!
What does the Wheeler oversized shroud do to help ignition?
I’ll bet a drop port on that low-rider stock is smooth and fast in the bags.

Clay,
It allows me to eliminate drag on the firing pin without making things sloppy. Loose shrouds have enough movement to bind up the firing pin. You can fix that other ways, but I prefer to correct shroud fit. Been using them on Bats for years. Makes a big difference.
