log book

I personally keep all my info. in an Excel Spreadsheet. Data includes, Caliber, date the ammo was loaded, date it was fired. Number of rounds, Powder& weight, Harrell Measure setting, Bullet & weight, O.A.L. and O.A.L.G.,overall length in gauge).Primer used, Brass used, Barrel Manufacturer, length and twist, Range conditions, Adjusted muzzle velocity, E.S. and S.D.Group, size, and any comments regarding load. Files are backed up on an external hard drive. At the range all information is put right on the target and transferred when I get home. A small spiral pad also works. Hope this helps.

82boy: Pretty much everything Chuckhunter is recording, but I have a spiral-bound steno notebook for each rifle. Really helps, when a year or two later, you "discover" a load combo that is claimed to be very accurate, look back thru your records, and find that you already tried that & it was not good, in your rifle. I also have the adjustments for my Forster micrometer seaters, for all the various bullets used, recorded as "seated-to-touch", so it's a simple and quick process to seat to any length after looking it up in the log book. Invaluable!:)
