Loads for 6-284 help!!!

I have a 6-284 that im going to us for coyote hunting i have 85gr Sierra game king HP boattails and 75gr V-max any info on powder loads would be helpful thanks

I've got two 6-284's, one a 7 twist for 105's, and the other a 10 twist for bullets up to the 95 VLD's.
For both barrels I use IMR 7828.
Lighter bullets are fun to brag on the speed, but with the capacity of this case, you're better off with the bigger bullet, depending on the twist.
Berger's 95 VLD will open up on a coyote at about any distance you can hit him.
I'd start in the upper 40's of 7828 with 95's, and go from there.

I have a custom 700 rem. shilen ss 29" barrel,in a 6mm 284. could someone get me started on a load for this rifle? I already have some Berger 68 gr match grade, and reloader 22 powder, and cci bench rest 2 lg rifle primers. Thanks Dave

In a 31" 8-twist, I'm getting 3600+ with 56 grs. of RL 25 behind an 87 gr. V-Max with no pressure signs in a BAT M action. I've just started load workups, so nothing definitive yet. 51.5 grs. RL 25 was getting 3350 and seemed promising like a promising area for a mild load.

I have a buddy is using 75gr V-max with 56gr of Imr 4831 said he could go up to 58gr. He backed it off to save the barrel

Amazing how different rifles and barrels in same caliber perform differently. I shot a 6x284 with a 26" BBl 10"twist. Lately Accurate Magpro powder 60.5 grs behind a 87gr V-max produced 3650FPS with so far no pressure signs. Re#19,H4350 work well with light bullets like 70 gr bullets. I loaded as high as 56grs of IMR 7828 behind a 95gr Berger VLD and they shot poorly.

I'm using IMR 4350 in a 1-10tw 6-284 with everything from 75 to 95gr. I did not come up with this powder without almost burning out a barrel in the journey. It's now the go to powder in all my big 6's when shooting medium weight bullets,75-95gr).

Ditto on the IMR-4350 it worked well in both of my 6-284's using 85 gr. GK's or Speer BT's. It is what I used deer hunting for the last three years. By the way the 85 gr. GK's sure make a mess out of a coyote and is not very fur friendly at 6-284 velocites.

Like I've said before MagPro is doing a good job. 53.5grs of H4350 and 87gr V-max produced 3,650 FPS and a broken Sako extractor., The Claw part) It was replaced at no charge. Gunsmith who built my rifle but sent my bolt out for Sako instalation felt my load was too hot. Maybe Gunsmith that installed the Sako didn't think so because he did the re-work with no charge. But I felt I was getting fliers with the 4350. Who knows for sure?

I use 59 grs. H-1000 with 87 gr V-maxs 29.5 in .Hart barrels 1-12 twist 3725+ fps and it'll group with the best of'em gotta luv that 6-284

:Hey guys I have been shooting the 6mm - 284 win. for over 10 years, So i do no quite a bit about load data for 90 gr,to105 grs. I have used Imr. 7828,RL22,Mrp[norma],RL25 .H1000,RL19,Accurate MRP,which is no longer available. Also H4350,H4831. I am going to try Accurate Mag Pro and see if I can Find a load for the 105 A-Max or 105 Berger. My Rifle is a Model 70 Win.Post 64 action.its on it second barrel a Krieger s/s 26" with a 1/9 twist,4 grove. The first barrel was a Douglas 26" with a 1/10 twist,6 grove. The douglas was still shooting real good but the throat erosion was starting to show real bad . All though it has killed several large Mule Deer at extremely long range over years, not try to brag but 776 yards is the farthest and this last fall 510 yards with the 105 A-max. The other one was taken with the 95 Nosler Bal. Tip.All Loads shot under an inch.I have taken coyotes at 500,600, 825 and 400 plus yards so I do have a lot of hunting experience. The load I used mostly was the 95 Nosler B.T. with either RL22,7828or MRP.all with 54 grains of powder. I used the A max105 gr, bullet to take a couple of big mule deer also.
My new Krieger barrel is in the testing faze now,so I will let you know what loads it likes.

I'm shooting a custom Savage with a 27.5 Pac-Nor 10 twist. With the 87VMax, my best accuracy has been with RL22. The load I currently use is 54.5grs with a fed match primer. I can't give a velocity. I have tried H4350, and in my gun at 53 grains it started giving me pressure signs. With RL22 it shoots under 1 1/2 inches,3 shot groups) at 300 if I read the wind correctly.
