Loading my .243

Question about my .243, I have a Savage model 10 and the twist rate comes standard 1:9.25
I want to load some long distance rounds and the Berger VLD came to mind first with a .535 bc, but with the 1:8 twist needed that is a moot idea, however the hornady 105 grain A-Max requires a 1:9 twist and has a .500 bc. Has anyone had success with this situation? I was hoping to get more info before I spend money on bullets, or a savage accuracy barrel with a 1:8 twist. Thanks in advance. John
P.S. I was wanting to have rounds available for some longer distance coyotes 500-600yards out.

I have a McGowen barrel on a Savage Action - think it's a 9 twist 28". It shoots 105 AMAX extremely well with Lapua brass, Fed 210M primers and near max (Hodgdon data) load of H4831sc. Mostly one-hole groups at 100 yds...... it shot the heavy Scenars well - I tried 105 AMAX becase they were cheaper and they shot so well that I "loaded up" on them - I have a box of Berger 95's but haven't tried them yet.

I shoot the 105 A-max in my model 11 using Superformance and CCI Lr200. Spins the 105 with no problem in the 9.25 twist. Great on deer so for out to 300 yds. Complete pass thru both shoulders.
