Loading for the 20-250.

I have a remy turned into the 20-250 it has a 26" 1in12 twist barrel. Just wondering if anyone has played with this cartridge or something like it? And if anyone has any idea were I could find some bullets that might have a thicker jacket that I could shoot a deer with maybe.

Thanks John

I shoot a 9 twist 20-250 and 20brs in 12 twist I like the 12 twist better (Better rang of bullets.
Some may say dont ! BUT I shot my Id deer with the 20 br this year 105 yards down a steep grade and in the pines. Clear shot corect bullet plasment he rooled down the mountain dident even flinch.
The tufist bullet I have found and shoot regularly is the burger 40 grn or in my 9 twist the 50grn will do the same thing
try shooting a 3/8 and 1/2 inc steel plate at diftent ranges. Polimers wont go threw but the burgers will thay hold together vary well on any game I have shot
I will shoot the polamires for thined skined small and med game but when you get to deer sized game I prefer somthing that will hold together.
Hope this Helps Kevin
Just MY Opinion

The 40Berger is an awesome bullet, and it will stabalize in a
12 twist.My 20AR shoots a 40 Berger at 4000fps from a 13 twist Pac-Nor and it really hammers coyote sized animals.
You might try No-Name bullets,Michael makes some custom weight 20 cal bullets. The Hornady 45 may work out for you as well, being such a big 20 you may get away with the 12 twist
and the 45,I have'nt shot any of them so I'm not sure.
Matt
