Thank you, As I said I am new and learning every day. I changed the post .Just using info that is on page 53 January 2008 American Rifleman, Half-Mile 22's.

Not to be picky either, but Ackley himself described some of his wildcats as Improved,Ackley) that were not on original factory cartridges. I'm looking at p.278 of Ackley's HANDBOOK FOR SHOOTERS AND RELOADERS which describes a ".22/30/30 Improved,Ackley)". Obviously not a factory original cartridge. And no, Ackley says that it is NOT a .219 Zipper Improved,Ackley), but a slightly larger capacity case giving higher velocity than an Improved Zipper or Wasp. There are other examples also, such as the .25 Short Krag Improved,Ackley) and others. Vic

Call Hornady. My grandpa also has a 22-6mm. He only shoots the semi heavy stuff. This guy at Hornady has a few rifles in that cal. He may be able to point you in the right direction.

Hey CatShooter, sorry, I didn't mean to twist your tail. I didn't post a reply to "win". Only to point out that, unfortunately, there is no universally accepted method of naming non-factory cartridges. Actually, I agree with most everything you said in your second post. I think it is pretty silly to hang on "Ackley Improved or AI" to cartridges that didn't even exist in Ackley's time. Some of Ackley's designs didn't even have minimum body taper or 40 degree shoulders. I personally much prefer a system like ".224/6mm Remington Improved 40 degree", but that's just me. Vic

Start your 80 grain Sierra Match Kings off with 48 grains of RL-25 seated to .010
off the rifling along with Federal 215 Mag primers. You can go higher if you choose to experiment but just be careful..
Don't shoot any of the 80 grain Bergers that fast they'll never make it to the target, at least the older ones wouldn't. Nice Gray dust out about 30 yards was all I ever saw....
The 75 Grain A-max was also a really good shooter with the same components......
I'm seating with a Wilson die cut with the same reamer, and using a Redding Comp bushing die for sizing, and a Redding body die when they start to get tight in the chamber.....
Size your new necks down a little at a time, not all in one step.
I used H-4350 for forming the new cases in Winchester brass....
